The music for this song came about at a soundcheck during one of my solo tours. JD and I recorded it when we got home. It was one of the funkiest grooves we had done. The recording just sat until I started working on this CD. I knew that Kaila's voice would work great on this groove. It took me awhile to locate the tracks.
I brought Kaila to the studio and just let her play for about 2 hours. I followed her around with a microphone recording everything she said. She's very talkative and loves to sing. But it still took awhile to get all the words that I wanted. I then listened to the tapes of her talking and marked all of the good spots. I picked the best stuff and with a sampler, put it in the right spots. She's got a pretty good groove already.

Notes:

• Kaila was about 16 months old when I recorded her.
• Kaila loves listening and singing along with this song.
• She makes me play it over and over in the car.
• U should see Kaila dance to this one. (It would make a great video)
• This is the 2nd CD that Kaila has been on. Can U name the 1st?

Things 2 Listen 4:

• At the beginning of the song U can hear Kaila asking for milk but I ask her to sing for me first. She indulges me by singing part of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She then ask for some food. This is cool because it really happened this way. This was not an edit. U can hear it in her voice that she didn't really want to sing.
• Listen to how "in tune" she is when she sings "Twinkle Twinkle".
• Can u find the part where Kaila says, "Daddy, give me some milk."?
